TONIGHT'S A-League match between North Queensland Fury and Newcastle Jets at Dairy Farmers Stadium has been postponed due to heavy rain caused by tropical cyclone Olga.
FFA officials have met with representatives from both Clubs, the host broadcaster FOX Sports and the venue and decided to make an early call to assist all concerned, especially traveling supporters.
The Weather Bureau is predicting an extra 80 millimetres of rain could fall on the venue over the next 24 hours, following the approximately 200 millimetres that has already soaked Dairy Farmers Stadium in recent days as a result of tropical cyclone Olga.
The match will be rescheduled for another date to be decided after a discussions between FFA, both Clubs and FOX Sports.
