EXCLUSIVE: North Queensland Fury have signed defender Karl Dodd with the player to be unveiled in Townsville over the next few days.
Dodd, 28, clinched the deal with an eye-catching performance on the weekend in a 1-0 friendly win over Brisbane Roar.
The player is a former Roar defender who spent time with Wellington Phoenix before being released by the New Zealand club at the end of last season.
Dodd played with Sydney United in the NSW Premier League during the off-season.
The signing is timely given the struggling Fury will lose Scottish defender Scott Wilson with a foot injury. He is in doubt for the start of the A-League on August 8 against Sydney FC in Townsville.
