The 31-year-old is pondering an offer made to him by former Rangers teammate Ian Ferguson, a move which would see Wilson reunite with Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler with the two having played together in a testimonial.

Should the Dunfermline Athletic captain accept the Fury's offer, he wouldn't join them until the summer.

He told the Daily Record: "I'm giving the offer serious thought.

"Robbie Fowler has signed and that tells you how ambitious they are. I actually played with Robbie in Alan McLaren's Testimonial between Rangers and Middlesbrough at Ibrox when he scored.

"It's a big decision - the biggest I've had since I left Rangers for Dunfermline. My wife, Joanne, and I have two wee boys so there's a lot to think about but the lifestyle and the sunshine in Australia certainly appeal. The down side is leaving family and friends to go to the other side of the world.

"No matter what happens I will not be leaving before the end of the season because we're trying to get back into the SPL and still have a chance of Scottish Cup success."
