Fowler will meet up with his Fury colleagues in Singapore in the next 24 hours where his condition will be assessed.   He has been suffering with a groin strain.

Speaking after training today, Fury boss Ian Ferguson was confident that Fowler would be fit to play a part in Sunday's match in Singapore but he wasn't going to gamble if there was any doubt.

"We'll assess him there (Singapore). I think everything's fine with him. He's got a little bit of a niggle. "We don't want to take any chances with him. The priority for the Fury is to make sure he's ready for the start of the season rather than worrying about pre-season games.

"So we won't take any chances with any player. We've got to make sure everyone is fit and ready, it's not just about Robbie."

Boosted by the arrival of Daniel McBreen ahead of their departure, Ferguson said Fury were looking forward to kicking their first ball in anger.

"It's an exciting time for us. We're just hoping we can go over there and hopefully give a good account of ourselves.

"Every game I go into I always have high expectations and I'm not going to change  that. We're going to try out one or two different formations so it's going to take a little bit of time.

"I'm more interested probably further down the line rather than worrying too much about this one (Sunday's game with Tampines Rovers)."
