ISTANBUL, February 23 (Super Lig) - Galatasaray's title hopes suffered a dent after they were held to a 1-1 draw by relegation-threatened Denizlispor on Friday.
Yusuf Simsek opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, but the lead was to last just nine minutes as substitute Hasan Sas levelled things up, leaving Eric Gerets' side six points off Super Lig leaders Fenerbahce.
Another side fighting the drop, Erciyesspor, did their survival chances no harm with a 1-0 win over Manisaspor.
Bulent Korkmaz's men climbed off the bottom of the table to move within five points of safety after Timucin Beyazit scored the only goal of the game in the 65th minute.
