GERMAN clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on Adelaide United and Socceroos goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic with a view to swooping in the transfer window.
English newspaper The Sun claimed last week that English Premier League strugglers Portsmouth were keen to bring the Reds custodian to Fratton Park.
United denied there had been any offer plus such a move might be hard due to work permit/passport regulations.
However, Galekovic's German-based agent has confirmed that a number of clubs there are interested in the keeper.
"German clubs are following his form, especially with him playing for the Socceroos and in the Asian Champions League," Oliver Fischer told the Adelaide Advertiser.
Galekovic himself is keen to focus on his Socceroos challenge this week, namely getting the nod ahead of Danny Vukovic and Tando Velaphi for the Asian Cup qualifier against Kuwait on Thursday morning.
