For the past couple months, Leo James has been using PlayerTek to track his games - Here is his review.
To answer any questions you may have, can I first say that the PlayerTek device is brilliant in every single way.
For the past couple of months, I've been tracking and analysing the games I've played in - Here are my thoughts.
As the device is bluetooth compatible, I'm able to sync the infortmation gathered from the 'pod' directly to my phone at the final whistle. From this data, I am provided with an extensive range of different stats and information. This includes:
- Distance, KMs
- Top speed in M/S
- How many sprints I made
- Total sprint distance

To add to this, the PlayerTek device provides you with more information in graphic form. Instant heatmaps are created, showing which parts of the pitch you covered. Along with the heatmaps, you can see which areas of the pitch you made your sprints and which part of the pitch you spent most of the game, in the 'action zones' section.
We've seen professional players and clubs using this technology for a few years now, but as the technology progresses - sports scientists, physios and club medical staff have all been given the ability to better their team's trainings.
At first, it was exciting to get stuck in with the PlayerTek device as I was really keen to see how it could help my game. I asked myself the question: "I'm no professional, so how can such a first class device help me?"

After my first game wearing PlayerTek, I made a quick dash for the sidelines to sync my info and see how I performed. Immediately, I was given a boost of motivation to perform better in the next game and trainings as well.
A cool feature added by PlayerTek is the notification shown on the app if you 'match with a pro' - helping you to feel connected and provides players with a boost of confidence when they're playing their games.
Obviously, professional setups are able to design specific drills and so much more with the information that is gathered. In saying this, the PlayerTek device is brilliant for any team or player looking to raise their game.

PlayerTek seriously helps players of all skill levels to look at their game from another viewpoint, allowing for the unique opportunity for self analysis to take place in a positive and informed manner. You are able to tell yourself where you need to improve.
I have fallen in love with the PlayerTek device, and would easily suggest it to anyone who is looking to bring technology into their game - Or simply up their game.
PlayerTek is available now, track, analyse and raise your game.
