GOLD Coast United's big signings and bold predictions have had the club's phones ringing red hot with new-found fans eager to snap up memberships.
Gold Coast have made bold predictions about what they will do in their first season with Jason Culina and Shane Smeltz two of the big hitters secured for the inaugural campaign.
However, the A-League newcomers only announced details of their membership packages 48 hours ago.
No figures are available yet but officials are delighted to have an office background noise of phones ringing off the hook.
Club media and communications manager Neil Favager told au.fourfourtwo.com today: "Our phones have been ringing constantly since we launched our membership programme.
"To get this level of response so far out from the start of the season leads us to believe our membership sales will be excellent. The response of the Gold Coast community thus far is extremely encouraging.
"The clear message we've been receiving from our supporters is that they are very excited at the prospect of seeing players like Jason Culina turn out for Gold Coast United next season."
United CEO Clive Mensink said: " Membership ensures there will be no last-minute or week-to-week rush for tickets and we believe we have devised a very flexible set of options.
"Skilled Park is a wonderful venue to watch football and will provide the very best facilities for our supporters to watch football in a way they will not have experienced on the Gold Coast before."
Queensland derbies against Queensland Roar will be one of the highlights for fans during the first season with coach Miron Bleiberg admitting this week that the Queensland Roar match will be a grudge clash for him.
The former Roar boss has said that he will be happier to beat Roar than any other team in the competition - and that he still holds a grudge against certain people at his former club.
