ROBBIE Fowler insists he's cool about coping with North Queensland's heat and now he's ready to fire on the football front for A-League new boys Fury.
The A-League new boys have started pre-season training with Fowler among those put through their paces at the first session.
He told the Townsville Bulletin: "I've been in the heat chamber the last week acclimatising so I think I'm officially acclimatised, so there's no problems.
"I didn't just go off and sit down, I have been working in the gym. I'm ready now, to be honest. It's just a case of listening to the manager."
Fowler has been in Australia for three weeks and while he is delighted with the reception he has received, he is just glad that it's time for 'business'.
He said: "To actually get on the training pitch and start the football, which is what we are here for, is great."
Fowler has been handed the number nine shirt by Fury for the new season.
