Henderson, one of three Australians at the club, is preparing for Leicester's first ever season in the third tier of English football.

The majority of the players who returned for duty have never played at League One level but Henderson spent a season in the English basement with Bradford City.

Henderson told the Leicester Mercury: "It's going to be a tough league.

"The Championship is tough but League One is probably going to be a bit more physical. Hopefully, the players we have will have the passing game to shine.

"Some of the grounds are not as lush as those in the Championship. There are going to be a lot of hard grounds to go to and pick up points.

"I am sure we can go there and, if we have to grind out a result, we will do that.

"And, when people come to the Walkers Stadium, they are going to see this beautiful ground and they are going to rise to the occasion. We have to be right and ready for them when they come to us.

"We know it's going to be hard. This time of the season is always hard but you have to put it in to get to that level of fitness."
