TWO goals from Danny Koevermans saw PSV Eindhoven come from behind and snatch a 2-2 draw against AZ Alkmaar in an entertaining match at Philips Stadion.
In a contest between the defending Eredivisie champions and the champions elect, leaders AZ appeared to be on their way to a 12th successive league win thanks to goals from Gill Swerts (12) and Maarten Martens (29).
But Koevermans struck in the 50th and 84th minutes to ensure a share of the spoils for fourth-placed PSV and maintain their unbeaten run under caretaker coach Dwight Lodeweges.
AZ saw their lead cut to nine points by FC Twente, who ran out 2-1 winners over lowly FC Volendam.
The visitors went in front with just six minutes on the clock when Paul de Lange scored from the spot.
But the dismissal of Gerry Koning after 19 minutes signalled the beginning of the end for Volendam, and Marko Arnautovic levelled matters for Twente after 28 minutes before Blaise Nkufo added a penalty six minutes later.
Nourdin Boukhari's 43rd-minute goal earned NAC Breda a 1-0 win and piled more misery on struggling Roda JC, who also finished the match with 10 men following Davy de Fauw's second-half dismissal.
ADO Den Haag survived the early sending-off of Chris Kum with Berry Powel's strike three minutes before the interval enough to give them a 1-0 victory over De Graafschap.
