Fowler's goal at the SFS had supporters and pundits drooling and while pleased with his contribution, the Fury captain is not one to rest on his laurels.

He has stressed on numerous occasions that it is all about team success. He told the Townsville Bulletin: "'We've got this first win and we can't afford to just accept it.

''We've progressively got better as each week's gone by. We've set ourselves standards and it's up to us to take it from there."

Sentiments echoed by coach Ferguson who has said the win in Sydney will be largely worthless if Fury cannot back it up.

He said: "'It's a monkey off the back, but there's no use going out and beating Sydney and then if you can't back it up, to me it feels like a waste of time.

''But if we go out there and do well again and play good football and get a result against Wellington, that's what you prepare for, and hopefully you can win your away games."

Fowler's strike at the SFS was enough to see him claim the Solo Goal Of The Week honours for the third weekend in a row.

The clever dipping shot over Sydney 'keeper Clint Bolton in the 54th minute of North Queensland's Hyundai A-League 2009/10 Season  Round 6  clash against Sydney FC again brought accolades from the pundits, not just for Fowler, but for the Fury's style of play.

Fowler's third Solo Goal of the Week will be shown tonight on Fox Sports FC and analysed by the panel led by Andy Harper.

There are few certainties in football, but North Queensland Fury FC have shown in recent weeks that fans who go to their matches are all but assured of goals and exciting football.

Even when critics questioned the club's chances this season, North Queensland Coach Ian Ferguson has remained confident that the team would develop the game required for  Fowler to show his class.

Ferguson has been proven right three weeks in a row.

In Adelaide three weeks ago, Ufuk Talay sent a ball wide to James Robinson who crossed it with pin-point precision to the Fury Captain who'd run from half way to catch it on the volley and blast it past United's gloveman Eugene Galekovic.

Round five of the A-League season  pitted the North Queenslanders up against Brisbane Roar at Dairy Farmers Stadium and again it was Talay and Robinson providing the build-up in the early stages of the match  for what Fox Sports commentator Andy Harper described as a tap in of "ecclesiastical class" from the North Queensland Marque man.

His best was saved for last Saturday in Sydney after Fury 'keeper Paul Henderson stretched the stitching with his clearing kick and Fowler's partner up front, Daniel McBreen, nodded it forward to Fowler who slipped past Sydney's defence and spied Bolton off his line.

Two short bounces and a beautifully weighted strike left Bolton embarrassed and the commentators searching for adjectives.

Fox Sport's Simon Hill summed it up today as a defining moment in the Hyundai A-League.

"Robbie Fowler's goals over the past three weeks have been pure class," Hill said.

"In my opinion h as revitalised the concept of the marquee player. Not only is he leading the way on the field but he is putting bums on seats in the stands as well."

Fowler has never claimed sole bragging rights for his goals this season and has pointed to the efforts of his teammates for their part on each occasion.
