Australian winger Ajdin Hrustic has done his 2018 World Cup chances no harm after being named in the Fox Sports Eredivisie Team of the Week after an impressive display.
The 21-year-old, who wasn't part of Bert van Marwijk's maiden Socceroos squad named last week, scored FC Groningen's second goal in their 2-0 win over PEC Zwolle on Sunday.
Hrustic received the ball just inside the left side of the box, showed some skill before his strike deflected over Zwolle keeper Diederik Boer.
He was named on the right flank in the Team of the Week, having built some good form in recent weeks.
The one-time Socceroo's display will have caught the eye of van Marwijk, particularly given it was in his native Netherlands.
Hrustic was part of the Australia squad at the AFC Under-23 Championships in January and has mounted a strong case for a Socceroos recall since returning to the Netherlands.
The Melbourne talent has played six games, including three starts, for Groningen since late January.
He had managed six appearances in the first half of the season, including a goal in the Dutch Cup, before a red card against Willem II saw him not play from October 20.
Hrustic, who has had interest from Bosnia & Herzegovina, earned his only cap for Australia in a friendly against Brazil in June.
