A loss to Queensland Academy of Sport to Olympic means they slip to sixth and while their opponents are still locked on equal points with Brisbane Strikers.

Brisbane Strikers 5 - 0 Capricorn Cougars

A four-goal haul from Luke Morley was enough for Brisbane Strikers to see off Capricorn Cougars at Perry Park on Saturday night.

Adam Webber opened the scoring in the 14th minute, before Morley scored once in the first half and hit three in the second to take the end score line to 5-0.

FNQ Bulls 3 -1 Logan United

In the other Saturday night clash, FNQ Bulls came from behind to comprehensively beat Logan United 3-1.

Logan lead for the majority of the game after Reggie Davani netted his sixth goal of the season just before the half hour mark, but three late goals from Alex Plowman, the returning David Ruiz and Bulls' leading goal scorer Steven Cater ensured the three points.

NQ Razorbacks 0 - 3 Sunshine Coast FC

Sunshine Coast FC continued their push up the Hyundai Queensland State League ladder with a 3-0 win over fellow finals hopefuls NQ Razorbacks.

The Fire went into the break 2-0 up after a Jai Cross header and Tyson Holmes strike, and Sam Knight's goal in the 90th minute capped off Sunshine Coast's fourth win in succession.

Whitsunday Miners 1 - 4 Redlands City Devils

Whitsunday Miners' dismal 2009 campaign continued on the weekend, losing 4-1 at home to Redlands City Devils.

Russell Woodruffe opened the scoring in the 18th minute, before successfully converting a penalty just eight minutes later. Wayne Knipe and U21s player Jesse Lindemann both netted before the break to take the half-time score to 4-0.

A Miners comeback looked like it may have been on the cards; when substitute Dwayne German scored less than a minute after replacing Michael van Moolenbroek, but the Devils held on to take the win which sees them now placed third on the ladder.

Olympic FC 2 - 1 Queensland Academy of Sport

Olympic FC overcame a determined Queensland Academy of Sport outfit on Sunday, prevailing 2-1 winners on the night.

A header from Alex Panic in the 32nd minute set Olympic on their way, and they doubled their lead seven minutes into the second half with a long range effort from James Meyer.

QAS scored a consolation through the hardworking Josh Brillante with 15 minutes to go and kept pushing for the elusive equaliser but were unable to find the back of the net.
