Olympic FC dropped points for the first time this season, hosting FNQ Bulls and the game ending a 1-1 draw. Shane Coffey opened the scoring for the home side and despite missing in-form youngster Steve Cater, Bulls retaliated through Bulls vice-captain Glenn Hurney equalized with ten minutes to go. Olympic still sit top of the Hyundai QSL ladder, but will be wary ahead of next round's clash with Brisbane Strikers, who have a 100% record in the Hyundai QSL this season.

Former BPL player Steve Unsworth marked his Hyundai QSL debut in impressive fashion, scoring twice in five minutes to seal the three points for Brisbane Strikers against Redlands City Devils in a game with plenty of missed chances for both sides. Despite matching the Strikers in every area of the park, once Unsworth scored his first, the Devils never really looked like coming back.

In their first home game of the season, Whitsunday Miners took on NQ Razorbacks in hope of their second victory this year. Razorback David Mayes opened his 2009 Hyundai QSL account five minutes into the game and added his on the 25 minute mark. Captain Paul Sapelli gave his side a 3-0 buffer going into half-time, before Mayes completed his hat-trick ten minutes after the break. Whitsunday Miners' only consolation was a penalty converted by Michael van Moolenbroek.

Queensland Academy of Sport took third place in the Hyundai QSL after they beat Bundaberg Spirit 6-0. Ben Halloran and Daniel Bowles each scored two, while Jordan Farina and Matt Thurtell also made the score sheet. Impressive throughout the game was Bundaberg product Koh Satake and fellow midfielder Mitch Bevan, who controlled the play throughout the park.

Sunshine Coast FC aimed to end their losing streak when Logan United travelled to Stockland Park to play the current Premiers. They started the game impressively, with Scotsman Bryan Gilfillan firing home a free kick from 20 metres out. Sunshine Coast could've had another just minutes later when striker Jai Cross hit the post. It looked like the Coast side were about to get their elusive victory, before Logan United equalized through a Raj Oshen penalty five minutes from the final whistle.
