Bundaberg Spirit Vs NQ Razorbacks, Sat 25th April - 7:00pm, Martens Oval, Bundaberg

Bundaberg Spirit take on NQ Razorbacks at home on Saturday night in search of their first win of the season.

The Spirit are winless in five, while their opponents NQ Razorbacks are proving to be an impressive side this year despite their two losses to Sunshine Coast FC and Olympic FC.

Razorbacks are currently waiting to see if striker Sean Burke will play this weekend after coming off injured 20 minutes into their clash with Whitsunday Miners last weekend.

The Spirit will be wary of other striker David Mayes who opened his 2009 Hyundai QSL account last weekend with a hat-trick of goals.

MATCH OF THE ROUND: Brisbane Strikers FC Vs Olympic FC, Sat 25th ApriL - 7:00pm, Perry Park, Albion, Brisbane

This weekend sees one of the fiercest rivalries in Brisbane football history in action as Brisbane Strikers and Olympic FC clash in Round 6 of the Hyundai Queensland State League.

Olympic go into the game on top of the league, but dropped their first points in 2009 last weekend when they drew 1-1 with league newcomers FNQ Bulls.

After Olympic were victorious in both clashes last year, Brisbane Strikers will be even more eager to taste victory this time around.

An Olympic win would see Bobby Hamilton's men extend their lead at the top of the Hyundai QSL ladder to four points, but if the Strikers take the three points, they will leapfrog Olympic to take top spot with a game in hand.

Strikers will also be well aware that in was Olympic that brought their unbeaten start to the 2008 season to an end, when they lost 2-1 at Goodwin Park in round four and will be keen to avoid anything similar this weekend.

Capricorn Cougars Vs Redlands City Devils, Sat 25th April - 7:30pm, Jardine Park, Rockhampton

Capricorn Cougars have had to wait two weeks to return to the field after their emphatic 3-0 victory over Sunshine Coast FC in round five, thanks to the Easter break and a bye the following week.

Redlands City Devils will be keen to get the three points in Rockhampton after being plagued by inconsistency throughout the opening rounds of the 2009 season.

Last week they had numerous chances to score but were unable to put any away against the unbeaten Brisbane Strikers.

FNQ Bulls Vs Whitsunday Miners, Sat 25th April - 8:00pm, Borzi Park, Mareeba

FNQ Bulls made another mark in the Hyundai QSL last weekend, becoming the only side to take points off league leaders Olympic FC.

Despite an impressive performance, the Bulls sit in ninth place with just a slightly superior points total and goals difference to their opponents this weekend, Whitsunday Miners.

Both Clubs will be eager to take home the three points to start a push up the Hyundai QSL ladder.

Queensland Academy of Sport Vs Sunshine Coast FC, Sun 26th April - 6:00pm, Lions Stadium, Richlands, Brisbane

Sunshine Coast FC travel to Richlands to play Queensland Academy of Sport in the round's late kick-off on Sunday night.

The away team will be aiming for their first victory since round two, while the QAS are in form and full of confidence after their 6-0 win over Bundaberg Spirit last time out.

Last time these two sides met, Sunshine Coast prevailed 7-0 over the youngsters from the Academy but they will know they are no pushover this time around as QAS will be keen to keep hold of third place in the league.
