QAS beat Redlands City Devils to stay in the top four while NQ Razorbacks gave Capricorn Cougars a 5-0 drumming in Gladstone.

Sunshine Coast FC won their second game in a row, while Bundaberg Spirit suffered their tenth loss in a row away to Logan United.

Brisbane Strikers 3 - 3 FNQ Bulls

A last minute penalty from Joe Rusch gave ten-man Bulls the share of the spoils at Perry Park on Saturday night.

Strikers' Steve Unsworth scored his seventh goal of the season in the fourth minute, before Nathan Bird equalised for the Bulls on the half hour mark.

Chris Di Sipio gave the Strikers the lead again before half-time before the away side was dealt another blow when captain Victor Madrid was given his marching orders.

FNQ Bulls kept pushing the Strikers after the break and eventually got a reward when Joe Rusch found the back of the net but his joy was short-lived as Hyundai QSL Golden Boot tally leader Gareth Musson scored his eleventh goal of the season just a minute later to take the scores to 3-2.

It looked like the Strikers were going to take the three points until referee Josh Wale spotted an infringement in the box and awarded a penalty in injury time.

Joe Rusch made no mistake and netted his second of the night, ensuring the game ended 3-3.

Brisbane Strikers go top of the Hyundai QSL ladder, but only on goal difference.

Capricorn Cougars 0 - 5 NQ Razorbacks

NQ Razorbacks shrugged off the effects of a 13 hour bus ride to beat Capricorn Cougars 5-0 at Wolves Football Ground, Gladstone.

Sean Burke started the goal scoring spree in the first minute, then David Mayes scored another for the Razorbacks before half-time.

A Jake Navarro hat-trick after the break sealed the emphatic victory for the visitors, who are now third on ladder on goal difference.

Logan United 2 - 0 Bundaberg Spirit

After the scores were locked at 0-0 at half-time, Reggie Davani hit the back of the net for Logan before Cameron Hunt doubled their 12 minutes later to give Logan United their fourth win of the season.

Logan United coach Walter Oldenburg admitted his relief at the victory after the game.

"We created countless chances and couldn't convert...we should have been 4 or 5 up at halftime but we weren't and that gave them the opportunity to get back into the match. Honestly, we dominated them all over the park but at least it's three points in the bag."

Sunshine Coast 4 - 3 Whitsunday Miners

Tyson Holmes scored a goal right at the death to secure Sunshine Coast FC's second win in a row.

Holmes also opened the scoring, before Whitsunday Miners retaliated through an Andy Cygan goal.

Despite being a player down after 41 minutes after Grieg Henslee saw red, Sunshine Coast FC took the lead just before the break when a Whitsunday Miners defender headed the ball into his own net.

After the break, Oh-Kyun Gong extended Sunshine Coast's lead to 3-1 with his second goal in as many games before Whitsunday Miners started to really push the home side and scored two goals through Daniel Scotton and Mark Rhodes.

Just when it looked like the game was destined for a draw, Holmes headed home a cross from newcomer Gerard Brown to end the game at 4-3.

Queensland Academy of Sport 3 - 2 Redlands City Devils

After a goalless first half, Queensland Academy of Sport and Redlands City Devils played out a thrilling five goal second half in their encounter at Lions Stadium, Richlands.

A double from QAS substitute Mitch Bevan and a penalty converted by Ben Halloran were enough for the home side but were given a scare late on when Redlands attempted a revival through goals from Matt Seib and Chris Bale.

QAS coach Peter de Roo was happy with the result, especially in light of the upcoming games for the QAS which sees them take on Brisbane Strikers and Olympic FC in consecutive weeks.

"Every game is important of course, but in this case we play the teams in second and first place in the coming weeks and after the way we played in the second half, I'm a pretty happy coach at the moment."

De Roo was pleased with the way his players came out in the second half after an average performance from both teams in the opening 45 minutes.

"I saw a QAS team which, as we say in Holland, had two different faces.

"We were totally not happy with the way we played in the first half but I must compliment my team after their second half performance".
