Queensland Academy of Sport's hopes of regaining their top four place fell with a loss against Capricorn Cougars, while Sunshine Coast FC continued their resurgent form with a 3-0 win over FNQ Bulls.

Bundaberg Spirit are still without a win, going down 6-1 to Redlands City Devils.

Queensland Academy of Sport 2 - 3 Capricorn Cougars

The upset of the round took place at Lions Stadium, Richlands on Saturday afternoon when Queensland Academy of Sport and Capricorn Cougars played out a thrilling five goal encounter.

Ben Halloran scored the first goal of the game in the 11th minute, but a goal either side of the halftime whistle from Tom Evans in his last game for the Rockhampton club gave the Cougars the lead.

QAS substitute Koh Satake impressed coming off the bench, and equalised for his side with five minutes left on the clock.

With the game looked to be heading for a draw, Cougars substitute Jesse Thompson scored the winner in the third minute of injury time to give them their fifth win of the season.

The result sees the QAS slip to sixth spot in the ladder, while Cougars leapfrog FNQ Bulls into eighth.

Sunshine Coast FC 3 - 0 FNQ Bulls

Sunshine Coast FC's second 3-0 victory on the trot was enough to see off the challenge of FNQ Bulls at Stockland Park on Saturday.

Greig Henslee, Craig Hawkins and Michele Lastella all scored their first goals for the club in the comprehensive victory.

Sunshine Coast FC are now unbeaten in five games and now sit fourth on the league ladder, while FNQ Bulls will need to be more consistent if they want to finish the season in the top half of the ladder.

Whitsunday Miners 1 -2 Olympic FC

Whitsunday Miners gave Olympic FC a tough test at home, with Olympic managing just a one goal lead when many would have predicted a larger score line.

Nzube Okafor got the game rolling for the away side in the 13th minute, but Mark Rhodes' seventh goal of the season made the score level midway through the first half.

An early second half goal from Alex Panic put Olympic in the lead, and they held on to take the three points.

Redlands City Devils 6 - 1 Bundaberg Spirit

An emphatic 6-1 victory for Redlands City Devils over Bundaberg Spirit was enough to see them hold onto their place in the top four.

Chris Bale scored the opening goal within 25 seconds of the opening whistle, and went on to score again before half time.

Graham Fyfe also bagged a brace and Anthony Paolino scored his first goal for the club.

Devils' other goal came from U21s player Jesse Lindemann - his second goal in as many games in the senior team.

Bundaberg Spirit scored their consolation late through Matt Timbrell.

Logan United 2 - 4 Brisbane Strikers

Brisbane Strikers managed another win in the Hyundai QSL, this time at the expense of Logan United in wet and windy conditions at Slacks Creek.

Guarding a 1-0 lead in the second half after Adam Webber netted in the 10th minute, three goals in six minutes from Gareth Musson, Luke Morley and Michael Butters gave the Strikers a four goal lead.

United gave them a late scare, with Remo Buess scoring a fantastic long range shot with ten minutes to go, before Reggie Davani netted five minutes later.

Logan also had a goal disallowed but Brisbane Strikers held onto their lead and onto top spot in the league.
