With Brisbane Strikers on the bye, Olympic's 1-0 victory over NQ Razorbacks mean they sit six points clear at the top of the Hyundai QSL ladder, having played one more game than their cross-town rivals.
The Razorbacks loss means they slip to sixth after QAS and Logan United played out a draw, while Sunshine Coast FC kept their fine form intact with a sublime performance that resulted in a 5-2 win over Capricorn Cougars.
Whitsunday Miners recorded their second win of the season against Bundaberg Spirit, while four goals from Russell Woodruffe gave Redlands City Devils a 4-0 win over FNQ Bulls.
Sunshine Coast FC 5 - 2 Capricorn Cougars
Sunshine Coast FC's resurgent second half of the season continued at Stockland Park on Saturday when they beat Capricorn Cougars 5-2, their seventh win in as many games.
Sunshine Coast FC took the lead through two first half goals from Jai Cross and Tyson Holmes, before Craig Hawkins put the game out of reach for the Cougars with a goal three minutes after the restart.
Cougars pulled one back through Ben McMaster before Michele Lastella and Tyson Holmes made sure of the three points with a goal each.
The away side managed to score a second goal in injury time through reserve goalkeeper Gerard Kelly who made his mark as an outfield substitute.
Redlands City Devils 4 - 0 FNQ Bulls
Redlands City Devils managed a comprehensive 4-0 victory over FNQ Bulls, thanks to striker Russell Woodruffe who netted all goals for the Devils.
Woodruffe is now joint top of the Hyundai QSL Golden Boot ladder along with Brisbane Strikers' Gareth Musson.
The game also saw the sizzling debut performance of new Redlands signing, Frenchman Jean-Charles Dubois.
Olympic FC 1 - 0 NQ Razorbacks
A late goal from Olympic FC's James Meyer was enough to see off the difficult challenge of NQ Razorbacks at Goodwin Park on Saturday night.
Meyer scored his fourth goal of the season with five minutes on the clock to seal the win for Olympic.
NQ Razorbacks will be disappointed not to take at least a point from the game which they dominated for long periods, despite the fact Josh Searle, David Mayes and Michael Lancini succumbed to injury throughout the game.
Whitsunday Miners 2 - 1 Bundaberg Spirit
Despite scoring the first goal, it was another disappointing day for Bundaberg Spirit, going down 2-1 to Whitsunday Miners away.
Miners scored either side of half-time to secure only their second win of the season.
Mark Rhodes equalized within a minute of Shane Youngberry's opener, before Andy Cygan score with twenty minutes to go to take the lead.
The Miners held on to take the three points, despite losing Cygan to an ankle injury late in the game.
Queensland Academy of Sport 2 - 2 Logan United
Queensland Academy of Sport and Logan United played out an entertaining 2-2 draw for the second time this season on Sunday evening.
An early goal from QAS winger Alistair Quinn put his team in the driving seat, but the prolific Reggie Davani brought the scores level on the stroke of half-time.
Koh Satake scored what he and everyone else thought was the winner with just two minutes remaining in the game, but United skipper Remo Buess broke through the QAS defense in the third minute of injury time to slot home a last-minute equalizer.
