Queensland Academy of Sport 0 - 3 NQ Razorbacks

Queensland Academy of Sport's run of poor form continued on the weekend, this time going down 3-0 to NQ Razorbacks.

Razorback Sean Burke netted in the 33th minute to give his side the lead, and a double from David Mayes after the break sealed the win.

The result means the QAS have scored none and conceded nine in their last two games, and will use their bye next round wisely to prepare for the final two games of the season.

Brisbane Strikers 4 - 1 Whitsunday Miners

It was imperative that the Brisbane Strikers take the three points in their clash with the Whitsunday Miners if they wanted to keep any chance of winning the Hyundai QSL 2009 Premiership and they did exactly that - scoring as early as the 4th minute to signal their intentions and netting another three despite being a man down after Adam Webber was sent off.

Youngster Joseph Civello scored the consolation for the Miners.

FNQ Bulls 5 - 2 Bundaberg Spirit

FNQ Bulls came from behind to record an impressive 5-2 victory over struggling Bundaberg Spirit.

A six minute hat-trick from vice-captain Glenn Hurney was enough to cement the win for the home side, along with goals from midfielder Josiah Rusch and substitute George Koroma.

Capricorn Cougars 0 - 1 Olympic FC

Olympic FC continued on their quest for the Premiership with a narrow 1-0 victory over Capricorn Cougars in Rockhampton.

It was Brad Lacey who found the back of the net for the travelling side, coolly slotting the ball past his cousin Gerard Kelly in the Cougars goal after a mistake from a defender.

Logan United 4 - 2 Redlands City Devils

After a goalless first half, six goals in the second 45 minutes, including a Reggie Davani hat-trick gave Logan United an important 4-2 win over Redlands City Devils.

Ryan Stenhouse scored the other one of Logan's goals while a Russell Woodruffe penalty and an extra-time goal from Jesse Lindemann reduced the deficit for the Devils.
