After Sunshine Coast FC beat Redlands City Devils, NQ Razorbacks blew a golden chance at the top four by failing to overcome the challenge of the FNQ Bulls while Logan's defeat of Olympic FC means that Olympic have to ensure they beat Sunshine Coast next time out if they want to win the Premiership.

Whitsunday Miners 2 - 1 Capricorn Cougars

Whitsunday Miners recorded their fourth win of the season on Saturday night, beating Capricorn Cougars 2-1 at home.

A goal from Daniel Scotton either side of the half-time break sealed the win for the Mackay-based team, while the Cougars' only goal of the game came through an 87th minute penalty.

Redlands City Devils 2 - 3 Sunshine Coast FC

Sunshine Coast FC cemented their place in this year's final series with a 3-2 victory over Redlands City Devils.

The result means that the Devils were lucky to stay in the top four, with the score between NQ Razorbacks and FNQ Bulls the next day proving to be beneficial to the Devils.

Youngster Sam Knight opened the scoring in the sixth minute, chipping Devils keeper ____ after a superb pass from Tyson Holmes.

Russell Woodruffe equalised three minutes later, but Sunshine Coast took the lead again through Greig Henslee.

Henslee latched onto the ball in the penalty box after a delivery from a corner, and slotted into the back of the net.

Woodruffe was again the hero for the Devils, converting a 65th minute penalty, but last year's Golden Boot winner Shaun Blackman scored the winner with just two minutes remaining after being found unmarked in the penalty area.

Bundaberg Spirit 0 - 6 Brisbane Strikers

A composed and professional performance from Brisbane Strikers was enough to see off struggling Bundaberg Spirit 6-0 on Saturday night.

Luke Morley managed a first half hat-trick, while Michael Butters, Jonti Richter and Steve Unsworth were also on the scoresheet.

NQ Razorbacks 1 - 3 FNQ Bulls

After Redlands City Devils were beaten the night before, this game was a golden chance for NQ Razorbacks to take fourth spot in the competition.

Razorbacks missed a number of key chances and in the end it was the Bulls' George Koroma who found the back of the net first.

Bulls found their momentum and continued to press the home side, scoring another two in the second half through striker David Ruiz.

Razorbacks' lone goal came from Chris Goldsworthy, after an impressive performance between the sticks from Bulls keeper Daniel Wilesmith.

Olympic FC 0 - 2 Logan United

Logan United threw Olympic FC's finals preparations into disarray, beating the Yeronga-based side 2-0 in the round's final game.

After a goalless first half, the returning Cameron Hunt found the back of the net before U21s player Rhys Jackson doubled Logan's lead ten minutes later.

The game was only the second of the season where they did not score any goals.

Olympic now have to ensure they beat Sunshine Coast FC in Round 21, as they have the bye in the final weekend of the season.
