With the top three places in the league confirmed, this weekend is all about the elusive fourth and last spot in the finals series for 2009.
Redlands City Devils need to beat Queensland Academy of Sport at home and if they do, this will guarantee them finals football for the second year running.
If they don't, and NQ Razorbacks beat Capricorn Cougars the following day, they will slip out of the top four and Razorbacks will take their place.
Logan can only go through if the Devils and Razorbacks both lose their respective matches.
Redlands City Devils Vs Queensland Academy of Sport, Fri 14th Aug - 7:30pm, Cleveland Showgrounds, Brisbane
Queensland Academy of Sport travel to Cleveland Showgrounds without a win since Round 15.
Redlands City Devils had the bye last weekend after two disappointing losses to Sunshine Coast FC and Logan United, and will be hoping that Russell Woodruffe will be able to find his scoring touch against the youngsters from the Academy.
Woodruffe has already netted 20 goals so far this season, while QAS haven't found the back of the net since 11 July when Matt Thurtell scored against Bundaberg Spirit.
Both sides will be eager to end the regular season on a high, but the Devils need to win if they want to make the top four.
NQ Razorbacks Vs Capricorn Cougars, Sat 15th Aug - 7:00pm, Townsville Sports Reserve, Townsville
NQ Razorbacks will be keenly following the game at Cleveland on Friday night from afar, as if the Devils do win, the result of this game will not affect the final standings.
The Razorbacks will be sweating on the fitness of Hayden Beale, who came off injured against the Strikers last weekend. Beale has been a consistent player in the Razorbacks side all season.
Capricorn Cougars coach Brad Smith will change his side's formation against the Razorbacks, despite beating Bundaberg 6-1 last weekend.
Cougars captain Roy Bob, who received a standing ovation in his final home game against Bundaberg, will play his last game in Cougars colours.
Bundaberg Spirit Vs Logan United FC, Sat 15th Aug - 7:00pm, Martens Oval, Bundaberg
Bundaberg Spirit's game against Logan United will be their last chance to try for their first win of the season.
The feat will not be easy against a Logan side that are unbeaten in their last six games.
Both sides finished with the same goal difference of -37 last season, and despite the fact Bundaberg finished last, Logan were the side that conceded the most goals throughout the season.
This year, Logan United recruited well in the off-season and produced some impressive performances although they were not as consistent as they would've liked.
The Spirit are in danger of hitting the 100 mark of goals conceded this season, having let in 93 so far but will welcome back Arian Dubroy and Matt Timbrell from the Queensland Schools representative duties and solid Sam Simpson who was unavailable for last week's clash against the Cougars.
FNQ Bulls Vs Brisbane Strikers FC, Sat 15th Aug - 8:00pm, Borzi Park, Mareeba
Brisbane Strikers make the trip north to Mareeba having already secured the 2009 Hyundai QSL Premiership last weekend.
Strikers coach Stuart McLaren says despite having already won it, his team will not slack off against the FNQ Bulls.
"There is extra motivation in wanting to take good form into the finals" he said after Olympic's loss to Sunshine Coast FC last weekend.
FNQ Bulls are unbeaten in their last three games, and last weekend leapfrogged QAS to take 7th spot on the ladder.
They will be prepared for the challenge that the Strikers bring, especially the attacking forces of Gareth Musson and Luke Morley who have scored 31 goals between them this season.
Whitsunday Miners Vs Sunshine Coast FC, Sun 16th Aug - 3:00pm, Harrup Park, Mackay
Whitsunday Miners take on Sunshine Coast FC in the form of their season.
In the last six games, the Miners have won three, drawn two and lost once, to the Strikers at Perry Park.
Sunshine Coast FC are also in a great run of form, unbeaten in an amazing 12 games with just one draw and 11 victories.
Neither side will take the game likely, with the Fire, like the Strikers, looking to carry momentum into the finals series.
