“So far, so good,” he said when asked how his body was feeling. Wilkshire arrived a day earlier than most of the long-haul Roos, arriving on Sunday night.

“We've done this many times. Get a decent sleep on the plane and you should be right.”

Wilkshire played on Friday in Holland in Twente Enschede's 1-0 loss to NAC Breda. After the game, Wilkshire drove across the border to Germany to pick up the Qantas flight home via London. And he's happy to be back in warmer climes.

The remaining Socceroos Tim Cahill, Jason Culina, Brett Emerton, Brett Holman and Carl Valeri fly in tonight with Mark Schwarzer the final arrival on Tuesday morning.
