Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors' run of good form came to a halt on Wednesday as the AFC Champions League holders crashed to a 2-0 defeat at Incheon United in the K-League Hauzen Cup.
Jeonbuk have climbed to third in the K-League and dragged themselves off the bottom of their Hauzen Cup group in recent weeks, but failed to sparkle on this occasion.
They fell behind after 15 minutes when former Serbia international midfielder Dragan Mladenovic struck from the edge of the area.
And his compatriot Dejan Damjanovic sealed the win just after the hour mark, slotting home his 10th goal of the season from close range after good work from Park Jae-hyun.
The win helped Incheon remain three points clear at the top of Group D above Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i, who defeated Daegu FC 1-0.
In the group's other game, Pohang Steelers drew 0-0 with Jeju United.
In Group B, Suwon Samsung Bluewings inflicted FC Seoul's first defeat of the competition with a 3-1 victory.
All of the goals came in the second-half with Kwak Hee-joo opening the scoring two minutes after the break.
Kim Dae-eui scored a spectacular second soon afterwards before Baek Ji-hoon rounded off the result.
Despite the defeat, Seoul stay six points clear at the top of the group after second-placed Busan I'Park could only manage a goalless draw with Gwangju Sangmu.
Elsewhere, Daejeon Citizen drew 1-1 with Gyeongnam FC.
