SWITZERLAND midfielder Gokhan Inler has urged his team to end their Euro 2008 campaign with victory over Group A winners Portugal to see departing coach Kobi Kuhn go out on a high.
The co-hosts already know they will finish bottom of the pool following defeats to Czech Republic and Turkey in their first two games.
But Inler is keen to finish with some points on the board.
"We will make every effort to win our last match," said the Udinese man.
"We want a positive result against Portugal and we also want to give Kobi Kuhn a great farewell party."
The match is effectively a dead rubber, with Luiz Felipe Scolari's side already assured top spot, but Inler insists the Swiss will have no problems getting fired up.
"It is going to be a difficult game, no doubt about that," added the 23-year-old. "But I'm sure everybody is fully motivated."
Euro 2008 has been far from plain sailing for Switzerland, with Kuhn's wife hospitalised since suffering an epileptic fit just before the tournament started and star striker Alexander Frei ruled out of the championships in the first match.
The match will be the last at the helm for 64-year-old Kuhn, who leaves the role after seven years to be replaced by Ottmar Hitzfeld.
With Marco Streller doubtful and Frei definitely out, Kuhn is hoping Basle striker Eren Derdiyok will shake off an ankle problem he sustained in midweek.
"With Derdiyok, things are looking up," said Kuhn. "He was there for the whole training session and we have one more day to cure his injury properly, even though it's almost cured already."
