Rochdale have had a difficult start to the season with just one win from their first eight league matches. The Dale sit in 21st spot on the table with six points.

But the club pulled off an impressive victory over fellow league rivals Bury in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, with Inman bagging a brace.

The Australian has scored three goals and claimed one assist in nine appearances in the 2017/2018 campaign to date.

Inman believes the Bury win will give his side confidence.

"The Bury game gives everyone a huge boost going into this weekend's game," the 25-year-old told FourFourTwo.

"We have a lot of games coming up. Two or three wins on the bounce and we will be right up there."

Inman joined Rochdale on loan for the season from Peterborough United.

"The season's going alright," the playmaker said.

"I'm really enjoying my football here. My body is good, I'm feeling stronger and fitter each game. Keith Hill is a very good manager. He's very demanding but wants the best for his players and the club."
