Internazionale have appealed against the two-game ban imposed on striker Adriano for diving during his side's 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Roma on Wednesday.
Adriano fell in the Roma penalty area with no contact made by any player from the Eternal City club and, from the resulting penalty, Marco Materazzi equalised for the Italian champions.
Disciplinary chiefs on Thursday imposed a two-game ban on the 25-year-old Brazilian after studying TV evidence of the incident.
However, the club announced on website www.inter.it that it would appeal.
"FC Internazionale announces that it will make an emergency appeal on the two-game ban imposed on Adriano by the sporting judiciary with the use of TV evidence," read the statement.
Inter would have sealed the Scudetto had they beaten Roma on Wednesday.
