With time running out, Brazilian striker Santos levelled the scores before deep into injury time, Kim scored his second to give the islanders a last-gasp victory.

"This was a really tough game," said Jeju coach Park Kyung-hoon.

"Any win away from home is satisfying. This win proves that we are a good team."

Park insisted his team did not feel the pressure of leading the table with half the season gone.

"We have lots of good players and the back-up players are sharp. As we play more games, we are going to get better," he added.

Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma remain a point behind in second after a 1-0 win at Daejeon Citizen thanks to a goal from Cho Jae-cheol midway through the second half.

FC Seoul stay third by virtue of goal difference despite a 2-0 win at Gwangju Samgmu. Both goals came in the second half, the first just before the hour from Ha Dae-sung and the second from Jung Jo-gook with 13 minutes remaining.

Defending K-League champions Jeonbuk Motors came back from two goals down to win 3-2 at Gangwon FC and climb to fourth.

Kim Yong-hu and Lee Chang-hoon put the hosts in the driving seat and with 15 minutes remaining, the situation looked grim for the Asian Champions League quarter-finalists.

But Croatian star Krunoslav Lovrek pulled a goal back and Brazilian playmaker Eninho equalised with seven minutes to go before Lovrek grabbed the winner two minutes into injury time.
