NEWCASTLE Jets are confident the club's long term future is not under threat despite missing last week players' payday and the club seeking financial assistance from the FFA.
It is understood that the players did not receive their wages last week but the club's owner is adamant the situation will be resolved.
"All that is owed to the players is about $50,000," Constantine told the Newcastle Herald.
"At the end of the day the players will get paid, there is no two ways about it."
CEO John Tsatsimas was expected to address the playing group today. He has said he sees no reason to doubt the Jets' long-term future.
Football Federation Australia has vowed to help the club through this period, stressing it was aware of the club's 'short term' financial issues.
The PFA is also closely monitoring the situation at the club.
"Newcastle is a foundation A-League club and a member of the former National Soccer League," PFA CEO Brendan Schwab told the PFA's website.
"It has an owner in Con Constantine who loves the club and is deeply committed to both its success and that of the A-League competition as a whole.
"We are informed that the situation is manageable and very short-term in nature."
