EXCLUSIVE: Newcastle Jets CEO John Tsatsimas is sure the club is on the road to recovery for its Asian Champions League campaign.

The club finished rock bottom in the A-League in a miserable defence of their title but with a flurry of transfer activity and preparations for the looming Asian Champions League, there has been little time to wallow in self-pity.
Tsatsimas told au.fourfourtwo.com: "It's been anything but a lull. It's been a frantic and hectic few weeks.
"There have been a lot of midnight phone calls and wheeling and dealings but hopefully we've got a team now that can hopefully bring us back up to where we should be."
The likes of Sash Petrovski, Nikolai Topor-Stanley and Ljubo Milicevic plus imports Donny de Groot and Fabio Vignaroli have all been recruited, while off the pitch, Branko Culina has started work as the club's new technical director.
"I think there is a freshness here and that's very positive. I think it's fair to say we're quietly confident in what we've managed to accomplish," said Tsatsimas.
"We have had an influx of players to join the established ones and we've a good base of youth at the club. Add to that the fact we've brought in Branko and I think we're well on the road to recovery.
"Branko has a wealth of experience and has taken a team to the ACL previously. We're excited by what he can offer. We believe that together with Remo and Gary (van Egmond) they can take the ship forward and bring us back to where we should be."
Not that the recruiting mission has been 100 per cent successful. Tsatsimas said: "There are frustrations. We thought we had one particular player but then three hours before he was supposed to come out, asked for three times the amount we had agreed."
But the Jets CEO added: "There is a freshness, you see it at training and everybody wants to do well. We're looking forward to getting into it now."
