Vissel Kobe sealed their J.League survival in the final game of the season with a 4-0 victory over Urawa Reds at Saitama Stadium today.
Takayuki Yoshida scored either side of half-time while Park Kang-jo and Keijiro Ogawa also got on the scoresheet to secure the vital three points.
The win means iFC Tokyo drop into the second division instead after they lost 2-0 to Kyoto Sanga, with Junior Dutra and Thiego scoring the goals.
Elsewhere, Gamba Osaka ensured they finished second in the standings after winning 3-0 at Shimizu S-Pulse.
Lucas opened the scoring in the 14th minute before goals from Takuya Takei and Hayato Sasaki wrapped up the victory.
Gamba finish ahead of city rivals Cerezo Osaka after they took third place with a 6-2 defeat of Jubilo Iwata.
Brazilian forward Adriano was in insatiable form as he scored four of the host's goals with compatriot Amaral and Ryuji Bando grabbing the others. Sho Naruoka and Ryoichi Maeda scored for Jubilo.
Both Gamba and Cerezo will play in the Asian Champions League next season although former J.League champions Kashima Antlers just missed out as they finished fourth following a 1-1 draw with Montedio Yamagata.
Mitsuo Ogasawara rescued a point for Kashima after he cancelled out Shogo Nishikawa's early goal.
J.League champions Nagoya Grampus rounded off their fine season with a 2-1 win at home to Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
Josh Kennedy put Nagoya ahead in the 22nd minute and Magnum added a second 10 minutes later before Tadanari Lee scored a consolation for Sanfrecce early in the second half.
In other games, a late Kodai Watanabe strike secured a 1-1 draw for Vegalta Sendai at home to Kawasaki Frontale. Juninho had put the visitors ahead in the 53rd minute.
Goals from Shusuke Tsubouchi and Lee Ho gave Omiya Ardija a 2-0 win over Yokohama F Marinos while Marcio Richardes scored a brace as Albirex Niigata beat Shonan Bellmare 3-1.
Richardes and Michael scored in the first five minutes and though Wataru Endo halved the deficit for Shonan just after the hour, Richardes struck again with 14 minutes left to make the win safe.
