All of Sendai's goals arrived in the second half after the visitors had taken the lead in the eighth minute through Cho Young-cheol.

Yoshiaki Ota levelled for the hosts after 54 minutes before a Kosuke Kikuchi own goal after an hour put Sendai in front. Naoki Sugai added a third after 73 minutes before Ota's second eight minutes from full-time completed the scoring.

FC Tokyo are second, also with a 100% record after three games, as they posted a solid 2-0 win on the road at Vissel Kobe. Naohiro Ishikawa (32) opened the scoring and Kazuma Watanabe made it two in stoppage time.

Kim Bo-kyung scored the only goal of the game as Cerezo Osaka climbed to third with a 1-0 win at Kawasaki Frontale, while Sanfrecce Hiroshima are fourth after a 2-0 victory over winless Kashima Antlers, Hisato Sato (25) and Junya Osaki (71) with the goals.

Urawa Red Diamonds came from behind to post a 2-1 win at Consadole Sapporo, who took the lead through Masaki Yamamoto (32). The visitors secured the points thanks to Yosuke Kashiwagi's brace after 45 and 63 minutes.

Tatsuya Masushima struck twice in the final 10 minutes to lift Kashiwa Reysol to a 2-1 victory over Shimizu S-Pulse, who took the lead through Keisuke Iwashita (38), while Kota Mizunuma's 77th-minute goal handed Sagan Tosu a 1-0 win over Yokohama F. Marinos.
