BRAZILIAN striker Jo looks set to return to Manchester City this summer after Everton manager David Moyes admitted his club could not afford to make the player's loan move permanent.
Jo joined the Toffees in January after struggling to break into the City first team following an £18million summer move from CSKA Moscow.
The 22-year-old has scored five goals in 12 league games for the Merseysiders but Moyes made it clear today there would be no way for his club to match City's outlay of less than 12 months ago, and that the only hope of Jo remaining at Goodison Park was a new loan deal.
"I don't see where we could even come close to getting the money they spent on him," Moyes told www.evertonfc.com.
"But a loan has not been put to us or spoken about at all yet.
"It's something that, at the moment, we've not had any indication that they would have interest in. Obviously that means he will go back to Manchester City."
