The GG Army will soon commence production on a series of commemorative merchandise honouring the most famous of Socceroo skippers, raising funds for the Foundation's important grassroots football programs.

Johnny Warren was a great supporter of the concept of the 'GG Army' and was an official ambassador of the group in its embryonic stages. The GG Army has had a great deal to do with the Foundation in the past and raised money for our programs through merchandise and events. This latest initiative will further enhance our relationship and at the same time assist in generating much needed revenues to help fund development programs for future Socceroos and Matildas.

In commenting on this wonderful initiative, Foundation Chairman Andrew Kemeny said: "The GG Army represent more than 10,000 passionate Australian football fans in more than 50 countries around the world. It is a group that shares many of the ideals that Johnny held dear. We are very happy to be working closely with them to build the profile of the Johnny Warren Football Foundation and have nothing but praise for their on-going support of grassroots football in Australia."
