The Iran-born businessman - who acts as the striker's adviser and heads a group of investors who own his 'economic rights' - tonight reiterated there has been no offer to keep the Argentina international at Old Trafford beyond this season.

Tevez's two-year loan to United ends this summer when the player could opt to move elsewhere - including, if reports are to be believed, rivals Manchester City or Liverpool.

Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson last night claimed terms had been offered to the frontman but Joorabchian insists that is not the case.

"They haven't made a formal offer," he told talkSPORT.

"I met with (United chief executive) David Gill yesterday, we spoke briefly and they said they were interested and they liked Carlos.

"Sir Alex had a conversation with Carlos where he said that he liked him a lot, but there was no formal offer, and United have clarified that.

"There have been cordial discussions but there haven't been any offers as such."

Joorabchian also confirmed that Tevez is determined to remain in the Barclays Premier League.

"His preference is to stay in England. He really wants to stay in England for the next five years," he added.
