According to inside sources, North Queensland have Jorvan Viera at the top of their list of coaching candidates, but are yet to reveal this. The Brazilian mastermind behind the Asian Cup-winning Iraq team is currently without a club after being dropped by Iran super club Sepahan. It is believed that this is the only foreign manager that NQ are pursuing, and that the job will likely go to Phil Stubbins if this proves to be unsuccesful.
