Sydney FC takes on Melbourne Victory on Sunday as part of a four-way shoot-out for the Hyundai A-League Premiership and both Juninho and Milligan have been recalled by coach John Kosmina in a huge boost to Sydney FC’s Premiership hopes.

Juninho will start for the first time since he suffered a chipped bone in his leg during the Sydney FC v LA Galaxy match and after sitting on the bench for three weeks is poised to unleash his trickery against the Victory.

“It has been frustrating being on the bench but I understand the Manager’s (Kosmina) thinking because the team has been winning,” Juninho said. “I feel no pressure just because it is a big game. The big games are the ones I like to play (in). I am looking forward to playing.”

Kosmina is also pleased to have Juninho and Milligan, who missed two games with a bruised toe, back for the clash that could see Sydney FC claim its first Hyundai A-League Premiership Plate.

“It is a big game and you want as much experience as possible,” Kosmina said. “Millsy (Milligan) gives us that and Joony (Juninho) certainly gives that as well.

“I think he’s (Juninho) ready for a start and he’s looked really good at training the last couple of weeks. His well being and body language is so much improved from when he copped the knock against LA Galaxy.

“Millsy is a valuable player. He had a good session with the Socceroos. Last weekend just wasn’t worth the risk. Had he copped a knock on his toe he would have been out for a lot longer.”

While announcing Milligan and Juninho would start, Kosmina has not made up his mind on the final line-up for the clash. Sydney FC has named a 17-man squad with two to be omitted on Sunday.

The final round of the Hyundai A-League kicks off tonight in Newcastle when the Jets take on Perth before Central Coast hosts Wellington on Saturday evening.

Both the Jets and the Mariners can move in front on the competition ladder ahead of the double header on Sunday that sees Sydney FC take on Melbourne at 5.00pm before Adelaide hosts current leaders (on goal difference) Queensland Roar immediately following at 7.00pm (Sydney time).
