Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic believes it is only a matter of time before Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo join the Spanish giants.
Madrid were linked with a move for Kaka during last summer's presidential elections, when eventual winner Ramon Calderon pledged to bring the Brazilian ace to the Bernabeu if he was successful.
However, no transfer was forthcoming and Kaka remained at AC Milan, where he subsequently signed a new contract tying him to the San Siro outfit until 2011.
Stories placing Kaka in Madrid have not gone away though, and Mijatovic on Thursday gave a clear indication that they intend to mount a serious bid for the 24-year-old's services.
"Sooner or later I am convinced that Kaka will play with the white shirt. I am convinced that sooner or later he will be at this club," Mijatovic said while answering questions from the public in an online chat organised by Spanish newspaper AS.
Mijatovic also spoke of his admiration for Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo, another player linked with Madrid.
He added: "Cristiano Ronaldo is a great footballer and many important teams are interested in signing him. We will talk about signings at the end of the season.
"Also we know that he has a contract with Manchester United and, like a great team, we have to respect this."
He added: "I don't know if I will still be here (in the long-term), but these players, like Cristiano Ronaldo, must play here."
Madrid full-back Cicinho admitted on Thursday that the club had been contacted by two of Europe's big guns regarding his availability.
"I haven't received any news. I know Roma and Liverpool have expressed interest, but Pedja told me that [Madrid] are very happy with me and that they don't want me to leave," said the Brazilian.
"If it was a good thing for Madrid and for myself... but I am only thinking about triumphing here."
