In-form goalkeeper Diego Lopez insists he is thinking only about doing well at Villarreal amid media reports of interest from AC Milan.
After years of playing second fiddle to Iker Casillas at Real Madrid, Lopez swapped the Bernabeu for Villarreal last summer and the 26-year-old has flourished since replacing Uruguay international Sebastian Viera as first choice recently.
That has led to speculation about a possible summer swoop by Milan - who are looking for a new number one to replace out of form Dida and back-up Aussie Zeljko Kalac - but Lopez is not letting his mind waver from the task at hand.
"My thoughts are only on Villarreal. I have come here with the objective of being able to grow as a professional and, for that, I have signed for five years," he said.
"My intention is to stay focused and that involves thinking as much about the league as the UEFA Cup."
Lopez was primarily used as back-up to Viera at the start of the season, being brought in mainly for European and Copa del Rey games.
However, he has taken over his first choice in the league recently as well, and has been hugely impressive.
"I am very happy because I am going through a very good phase, because I am responding to the confidence with the manager has put in me and, also, I am getting minutes on the pitch, which is something I always wanted," Lopez added.
