The 27-year-old joined Ligue 1 outfit Lille last off-season after Chelsea allowed his contract at Stamford Bridge to expire following a reduced first-team role of just 12 English Premier League appearances during the campaign.

The Ivory Coast international was linked with Arsenal - as well as the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle - when his time in west London ended, but the attacker opted for France and is said to be enjoying his time there.

But fresh reports indicate Arsene Wenger could renew his interest, and Kalou did not hold back when describing his fondness for a return to the Premier League.

"I'd love to go back to England," he told The Sun. "I spent six seasons there and I am crazy about the Premier League.

"Players' careers change so quickly. You never know what will happen tomorrow."

Kalou, who is under contract at Lille until 2016, has netted eight goals and provided three assists in 22 Ligue 1 appearances this season, and has also scored once in the Champions League and French Cup respectively.
