ASIAROOS WRAP: Joshua Kennedy has helped Nagoya Grampus extend their lead atop the Japanese J.League to nine points with a goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over Vegalta Sendai.
Kennedy, who scored twice in last weekend's 5-1 thrashing of Shimizu S-Pulse, converted a 57th minute penalty for Grampus.
The Socceroo's goal levelled proceedings after Ryang Yong-Gi had put Vegalta ahead in the first half.
Yoshizumi Ogawa won the contest late on for Grampus with an 88th minute strike.
Nagoya's nearest rivals Kashima Antlers could only manage a 1-1 draw with Shimizu S-Pulse, meaning Grampus lead by nine points with nine games to play in the J.League.
Kennedy's goal took his tally to 14 strikes this season in the league, extending his lead atop the goalscoring charts.
Elsewhere, Eddy Bosnar played a full game for Shimizu in the 1-1 draw with Kashima Antlers.
Meanwhile, Matt Spiranovic was absent due to injury as Urawa Reds won 2-1 at Omiya Ardija.
