Blackburn have not won in their last six league games and are now just two points off the bottom of the table but the Rovers skipper believes they are about to turn the corner.

Nelsen said: "We would be more worried if we were not getting points and not playing well.

"But we are playing really well and once we get some players back who have been injured the results will come.

"We are not worried at all. A couple of wins and you are right back up the table - it is a funny league this year."

Blackburn's keeper Paul Robinson, outstanding in the 2-0 defeat by Chelsea at the weekend, is similarly confident.

"If we play like we did in the second half we'll get results against a lot of teams," he said.

"We know we are playing reasonably well. There are winnable games coming up and we need to start picking up some points now."
