The Croatia defender has found himself out of favour with the Turin side, who were recently promoted to Serie A after a year in the second tier of Italian football.

"Next year Robert Kovac will play for Dinamo," club executive Zdravko Mamic told the Jutarnji List newspaper.

"He still has two years left on his contract with the Italians, but has fallen out of favour with the management, so it is a done deal which we will sign next week."

The 33-year-old has suffered with injury and poor form since joining the Bianconeri from Bayern Munich on a free in the summer of 2005.

Meanwhile, Kovac's older brother Niko has announced he would consider leaving Austrian side Salzburg, where his contract expires next year, for Hadjuk Split.

"First I have to talk to my club's executives. If they agree, I'm ready to join Hajduk," the 35-year-old said.
