Juventus are reportedly the front-runners to sign the 25-year-old from CSKA Moscow and Krasic has already been likened to Juve great Pavel Nedved.

The player himself claims he does not know where his future lies but is certain it is in Serie A.

"Yes, I want to play in Italy, I don't know what team, but I want to go there. I have heard about Juventus," he said.

"They (his agents) are deciding my future, but I am sure that they will choose the best for me. I am focused on the World Cup for now."

Krasic, who said his hero was former Yugoslavia and Real Madrid forward Predrag Mijatovic, admitted he was flattered to be compared to Nedved but insisted he had a long way to go to match the former Czech international.

"Being compared to Nedved always makes me proud. He was a phenomenon, a champion, and a great person," he told Tuttosport.

"Maybe I look like him physically, but I am not at his levels yet.

"I would like to be like him and do what he did."

Krasic, playing in his first World Cup and Serbia's first as a separate nation, stressed that Sunday's opening match against Ghana would be pivotal in their hopes of progressing out of Group D, which also contains Germany and Australia.

"We are picking up our game, we have a good team and there is no reason why we shouldn't play well and get a good result against Ghana," he said.

"It would lift our spirits up a notch ahead of the big game against Germany.

"We can feel the atmosphere building up and we are fully prepared."

Striker Marko Pantelic expects South Africans to get behind their African counterparts in Pretoria this weekend.

"This will be an away game for us. But we're used to playing away from home," said the 31-year-old.

"To be honest, I don't think we've ever studied a team so hard. We're looking at this as a make-or-break game.

"We know who they (Ghana) are - probably the best team on the continent."
