Officials from both clubs were remaining tight-lipped regarding the situation this morning but au.fourfourtwo.com understands the final details are now being hammered out.

Kwasnik, 25, was the Mariners' top scorer in season two of the A-League and was part of last season's charge to the Premiers Plate and Grand Final.

If the deal goes through as expected then Kwasnik will provide Phoenix with extra attacking width.

Meanwhile, the Mariners are delighted with the response to their membership campaign for the new season.

Almost 2,000 fans have become Mariners members or renewed in the last two weeks.

Executive chairman Lyall Gorman said: "We’ve been simply overwhelmed by the response to our Membership packages for season four and we are understandably delighted with the progress we have made so far out from the regular season.

“That said, there is still a way to go before we will have achieved our membership targets for the upcoming campaign."
