Adam Kwasnik is back at Bluetongue Stadium after a year with Wellington Phoenix and he cannot wait to get stuck into the Asian Champions League.

Lawrie McKinna's men had a miserable end to the A-League season with a depressing run of defeats and elimination from the finals series by Queensland Roar.

But the focus now is forward and Kwasnik is confident the club can begin its journey into the ACL with confidence.

He told the Central Coast Advocate: "Things haven't gone as the club would have liked in the past few weeks but there's still a lot of quality in the team. We'll lift for Asia."

Kwasnik is hungry to play his part and is grateful to Lawrie McKinna for giving him a second bite of the cherry in Gosford.

He said: "I went to New Zealand for a change but the move didn't go to plan.I'm lucky Lawrie and the club were willing to give me a second chance.  Wellington weren't sure about another season so I made the decision to come back to Australia."
