The Mariners were thrashed 5-0 on their home turf last week in a defeat that Lawrie McKinna described as his worst experience as a coach.

But a line appears to have been drawn under the debacle with the players focused on the future rather than the past.

Kwasnik is adamant that the determined mood in the camp means that Kawasaki won't have it so easy this time.

He told the Express Advocate: " We didn't turn up and paid the price, that won't happen again.

"The key for us is to get our heads up and stick together and work harder before the next match in Japan. We will be better."

The Mariners are further boosted ahead of the clash with striker Matt Simon now free from suspension. So too is defender Pedh Bojic.
