Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari was gushing in his praise for Frank Lampard after tonight's 3-0 win at Hull.
Lampard put the Blues on the way to a convincing Barclays Premier League victory at the KC Stadium with a stunning left-footed chip in the third minute.
Nicolas Anelka pounced on a defensive mistake and Florent Malouda struck from close range to make certain of victory in the second half but it was the performance of Lampard that caught Scolari's eye.
The Brazilian said: "I think his goal was one of the best in the Premier League.
"It was a fantastic goal - only Frank Lampard can make this goal. It was one of the best goals I have seen in my life.
"He is a very intelligent player and he is a man that is never tired.
"There are many very good players in England, and one of the best is Frank."
The win lifted Chelsea after Sunday's defeat by Liverpool had seen them surrender their unbeaten record and top spot in the table.
Scolari added: "After we lost against Liverpool our reaction was very good.
"We had many chances to win this game and take the three points.
"We will try now to make pressure for the other clubs."
Hull had gone into the game level on points with Chelsea after a remarkable start to the season but the result put them firmly in their place.
The Tigers initially responded well after falling behind with Daniel Cousin, with the aid of a deflection, striking a post but by the end the gulf in class was evident.
Manager Phil Brown said: "We came up against a quality side and we didn't bring our best game to the table, even though we caused them problems in the first half.
"The first goal killed us to a certain extent. It was a poor start and the second goal then took the wind out of our sails.
"We didn't minimise our mistakes tonight, which is very unusual for us.
"I don't enjoy getting beat. I haven't come into the Premier League just to enjoy it - I have come into the Premier League to try to win games of football.
"Tonight was poor by our standards."
Hull, who had won their previous four games, now have two days to prepare for a daunting trip to Manchester United.
Brown added: "It is a kick in the proverbials but we have got to dust ourselves down and prepare for it."
