Orient will wear a commemorative fourth kit against Bromley on 17 November, to acknowledge the club's historic role in World War 1.

After the suspension of the football league due to the outbreak of World War I, 41 members of the then ‘Clapton Orient’ team and staff became the first football club to join the Great War en masse.

Leyton Orient were farewelled by 20,000 spectators on their last game of the 1914-15 season after the brave club would commit the most servicemen of any football team in the country.

During the Battle of the Somme, three players were tragically killed in action: Richard McFadden, Willie Jonas and George Scott.

Vice Chairman Kent Teague said, “Leyton Orient Football Club has a fantastic history and we knew that it had been 100 years (since the end of World War I) so we wanted to offer a way for the fans to be able to wear a piece of history that we felt was very significant to them.

Known by their fans as the ‘O’s,’ the club was founded in 1881 and currently compete in the National League, the fifth tier of English football.

If you’re a kit collector, or just want a part of history, this commemorative kit should be on your list.
