Italy coach Marcello Lippi claims he will not be experimenting in next Tuesday's mouthwatering friendly against Brazil at the Emirates Stadium in London.
Lippi's past two squads have seen five players handed debut call-ups and speculation has been rife about who the new faces will be when he reveals his latest list on Saturday.
However, the World Cup-winning coach insists any changes will be limited.
"Italy against Brazil is not a match in which to experiment," Lippi told Sky Italia. "I'm expecting some people to pull out. I'm in contact with (Villarreal striker Giuseppe) Rossi who is trying to recover (from an ankle injury).
"I don't think there will be experiments.
"They're talking about (Matteo) Brighi at Roma, and (Sergio) Floccari in Bergamo, everywhere they speak there is a player ready for the national side and it's good that it's like that.
"It should be a dream to play for Italy. But you can't call everyone after one good game. That's not how you build a squad.
"If these players continue to do well they will be called up."
Lippi is looking forward to the game but believes the countries could have picked a better date.
"It's a very prestigious game," he continued. "But it's a pity it's on a Tuesday.
"Two of the teams that have won the most in the world are playing each other, each with amazing players, but you obviously lose something when you play only 48 hours after the league games."
The Italy coach also had a few words to say on the topic of the moment: David Beckham.
The England midfielder has been in great form for AC Milan, so much so that the Serie A giants would love to extend his loan deal from the Los Angeles Galaxy.
And Lippi admits to also being impressed by the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player.
"He arrived and from the first game was having great matches," he said. "He is becoming an undisputed part of the starting XI, scoring and giving the team an important balance.
"And he's doing all that with a seriousness and humility that's typical of great players."
